  1. Below is the dress-code on my Parish's website:

In charity to God and neighbor, please respect the following dress code at Mater Dei:

Men: no jeans, no tee shirts, no sneakers. Collared shirts, preferably with a tie and a jacket.

Ladies: please cover everything from the shoulders to the knees, including the shoulders and the knees (even when seated). A blouse should not be cut lower than two finger’s breadth below the pit of the throat, and of course, tight or sheer clothing is unacceptable.

  2. I went to Mass the day after you posted this (Tuesday) and was more keenly aware of how we dress for Mass. I was glad to see people there, but you're right-Whatever happened to dressing up? I feel completely out of place most Tuesdays, wearing a dress or dress pants to Mass, thinking that maybe dressing up on Tuesdays isn't normal, but reading this made me feel better about my clothing selection. I won't be there tonight, but next Tuesday I'll be dressed up again.
